June 2026
Turned 30, first paying customers, a heavy family month.
Turned 30. Celebrated with a 6k run, coffee and chill with Mary, then spent the afternoon writing a retrospective and plans for 30-40. Two days later: celebrated 3 years of marriage.
Real money on the side projects. The wall-art project got paying customers: another $19 one mid-month, and the first ever support request from a lead. Small numbers, but it counts: a stranger paid for a thing I built.
The other project moved as well: signed an NDA with one of the property-management platforms and spent the last days of the month building the integration.
The company is now fully real. Signed the incorporation documents, got the official papers back, picked up documents from ANAF, sorted two months of accounting. The paperwork nobody tells you about.
Family needed a lot this month. Many things going on... welcome to 30 as they say. Mom broke her leg. My mother-in-law had surgery, and the results came back not very good. Spent a weekend in Maramures, 12 hours straight mounting surveillance cameras for my in-laws, and another weekend at my parents, helping all day, with a 6+ hour drive each way.
Finished two books: Murakami's "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running" and Cristian Sima's "Marea Spovedanie". First month with some reading in a while.
Health held: 12 gym sessions, 4 of them at home when the schedule fell apart, three 6k runs, sauna and cold showers. One hangover after three beers with friends, and the reminder that I hate that feeling.
First full month with zero Netflix. Don't miss it.
